Pick up some cool products to make campfire flames colorful for your next trip.

Take this cool idea camping! Or shoot, for the backyard even. Colorful campfire flames be damned, if you have to just take it outside to a pile of wood and rocks on your patio and mesmerize the mosquitoes, I DON’T CARE, JUST DO IT.

(bring a fire extinguisher)

Squeeee! THIS ROCKS! You could use this idea for a Pride event or to celebrate most any holiday, but especially a Memorial Day or July 4th barbecue.

Shucks, toss this colored fire into your home’s fireplace for Christmas or New Year’s even. I don’t care that those typically aren’t camping holidays, this is just too cool not to want to try it.

It would be even more rad if you could cook over colorful flames or make S’mores, but no, you don’t really want to do that. I mean, YOU could, but definitely don’t cook for your kids that way. Also, don’t be dumb and swallow this stuff, m’kay?

Okay, so where do you find stuff to make colorful campfire flames? Right here, baby:

Mystical Fire Flame Colorant
Buy the 12 pack or the 3 pack from Amazon.

These fire flame colorant doohickeys purport to produce brilliant and captivating colorful results. Okay, I’m still with them here. But then they said, “Look at the undeniable splendor of the dancing colors…” and I almost gagged on the hack copywriting there, but hey, let’s keep going.

Drop a packet unopened on any wood fire, indoor or outdoor. Though they’re a little stinky indoors, HEY, you get colored flames! Also, they do say using 3-5 packs are best – so keep that in mind when ordering.

Anywhoo, they’re supposed to be a vibrant green, blue, yellow, orange, red, and purple color changer that’s long-lasting (1 – 1.5 hours), with a pulsating flame. Alright! They finally had me at “pulsating”.

Norway isn’t the only place to get those cool Aurora Borealis lights anymore. We can have them too. I mean, sorta.

And kudos to the snarky reviewer who said, “For extra enjoyment, get some friends to wear black robes, hold hands and walk around the colorful bonfire while chanting in Latin. You’ll be sure to impress and delight your neighbors!”

There are other rainbow flame products to try if you search here on Amazon. Either way, try colorful campfire flames and comment to let me know what you think. I cannot wait to hear the results. Unless they sucked and then I can wait as long as you can.
